Created to accommodate the crowds of visitors who come each year to explore this popular Chicago-area conservation area, this visitor center is an open-air exploration of the beauty and science of a tall-grass prairie restoration project.

ALTO™ interpretive panels can be found worked into the outdoor exhibit, mingling with natural materials like wood and stone and weathered steel. The material was chosen to resist the extremes of prairie weather and stay vibrant for years to come.
