This mural on the Marysville Civic Center celebrates the city’s connection to nature, creating an overall design that reflects the city’s natural beauty and the Northwest architectural style of the building. The painting is by renowned Pacific Northwest artist Jack Gunter, who works with the ancient medium of egg tempera for works full of vibrant color and texture.

Gunter’s art was enlarged and sublimated onto ALTO™ Aluminum panels, which were then installed into the bold cladding of the Civic Center. Panel by panel, the intense blues, yellows and greens of this sunlit landscape are revealed in rich and lasting detail.
