Bringing history to life is no small task. This interpretive mural in Vancouver by Public Design Vancouver uses archival materials, including a 19th century linen map and photos of Indigenous sturgeon fishermen, together with intensive research, to reveal the many changes the city has seen over the centuries. To create the mural, a map graphic was sublimated onto chrome and bronze ALTO™ panels. The intricate custom-shaped panels were individually sublimated, then put together to achieve a full-size mural.
